The Sarah Lloyd Scholarship Fund was set up in loving memory of Sarah Lloyd, giving female apprentices residing or working in New South Wales the opportunity to apply for a scholarship.

This Scholarship Fund is aimed at supporting other women who wish to work in non-traditional trades. Sarah was not afraid of being a female in a mainly male dominated industry. She was breaking ground with her apprenticeship and Sarah would want other females to do the same.

Once again the standard of applications was amazing, which certainly didn’t help making our selection easy.

Thank you to every single one of you amazing “Tradie Ladies” who submitted an applications, and there was many. We also encourage those who qualify to submit again next year.

Our vision is to make a difference to the lives of women by bringing understanding and acceptance of females in non – traditional trades, and supporting women financially to complete a non – traditional apprenticeship.

“She had an infectious giggle, a beautiful smile and an extremely positive outlook on life.”

Sarah was the middle child of Tracey and Daniel Lloyd of Mangoplah. She had an infectious giggle, a beautiful smile and an extremely positive outlook on life. With her love of the great outdoors and sport, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t give a red hot go!

Sarah grew up on her family’s property just outside of Mangoplah in regional New South Wales. Her love of all things automotive came from her father, a qualified mechanic. She spent many hours learning about automotive mechanics under his wing and was determined to make it her career path.

Applications for the 2024 Sarah Lloyd Scholarship Fund open Wednesday 1 May 2024, and will close Sunday 16 June 2024.
